Karonga Debate Club (KADEC) second concept was conceived in 2018 and, after consultation with key stakeholders in Karonga District. The Organisation was then established in 2004 as Youth Organisation that will support national development across Malawi.
In 2015 KADEC became a local non-governmental organisation. KADEC follows an empowerment model, which promotes capacity building, socio-economic, political and sustainable development, with the goal to facilitating access to equal opportunities and citizen engagement in social, civic, economic and political life.
KADEC later registered its membership to different networks such as Malawi-Scotland Partnership, Youth Act Alliance and Karonga Civil Society Organizations Network.
